Pentalpha

Typographic work that explores the subject of ‘Taboos’. ISTD expected me to investigate the widest interpretation of the word from historical, cultural and international perspectives. We envisage lots of opportunities to draw upon e.g. comparisons through different eras, societies, social groups, generations etc. Everything from primitive tribal, through medieval ‘courtly love’ & chivalry, Victorian manners/etiquette, to social networking ‘trolls’ etc.

The idea of hidden religions is expressed in “Pentalpha” with the use of french fold. The visible side of the page is written in language of witches, Theban. English translation is written inside the fold, to understand you have to rip the pages.
